Tryout week arrived, and Mia did her best. However, at the end of the week, she didn't find her name on the team roster. Disappointed, she went home and told her mother the news. "Mia, you can be whatever you want, but you need to remember that it will always take hard work," her mom reminded her. Mia dried her tears and made a plan. After a full year of dedicated practice, including several early-morning swim sessions each week, Mia tried out once again. This time, the roster proudly displayed her name as a new member of the swim team.
