Names can introduce a character’s personality to the reader, give insight into development and interaction of a character, serve as irony, etc. In Twelfth Night, you will examine the importance of names further. Do you know what your name means? Is there a “story” behind your names? Why do you think some parents name their children Jr.? Is naming significant?
