You have probably read several stories or seen movies about mythological heroes like
Hercules or Zeus. You have no doubt learned about a lot of real-life heroes as well, people
who save others from burning buildings or find a cure for cancer. But what makes a person
a hero?
Write an essay to present to your class that explains the characteristics of a hero. Use
information from the three texts in your response.
