Sonnet 116

A- Let me not to the marriage of true minds

B- Admit impediments. Love is not love

A- Which alters when it alteration finds,

B- Or bends with the remover to remove:

C- O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,

D- That looks on tempests, and is never shaken;

C- It is the star to every wandering bark,

D- Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

E- Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks

F- Within his bending sickle's compass come;

E- Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

F- But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

G- If this be error and upon me proved,

G- I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
