1. We can see that the essay is written in first person due to the author's prevalence in using the pronoun "I", in addition to being able to perceive that he is telling personal experiences and thoughts. The author uses colloquial language, which is a more informal and relaxed language. The essay written using first person point of view and the language that the author use the informal and conversational sound is colloquial.

2. The author realized that there are many children in various parts of the world who are exposed to inhospitable situations because of poverty. These situations do not promote a good quality of life, a good education or a good security for children, besides making them lose their childhood by doing heavy and dangerous jobs, starving, most of the time. This was what motivated Kiel burger to start Free the Children.

4. These lines show how people in situations of extreme poverty know more about sharing and being supportive than the great world leaders who govern the big economies. This impacts Kiel burger and makes us realize that his moral values are based on solidarity and helping the society that needs it so much and has so much to teach.

5. The author is moved.
