Can someone make a main idea out of this? Basically the article stated how African Americans were mistreated and weren’t allowed to buy and own a house around middle class areas and white neighborhoods. They had to stay in one area called, “The Black Belt”, they were treated differently because of their skin color. African-Americans were crowded only giving one area of Chicago to live. They had to live in apartments, where they hardly recieve basic necessities. When they were able to get a house around white neighborhoods they were physically abused and threatened.
