They're critical because they have the will to speak through a microphone and the whole world can hear it! Which means whatever they say may seem small, but in the end it just becomes a huge thing the whole world may pay attention to. When a speaker is giving speeches or some small talk everybody is always listening and whatever the category of the speech or small talk is those listeners or a.k.a. followers will always have a response to it!
