The weekly journal response is designed to get your ideas for the essay going forward. Each week, I will have a post in blackboard for you to post the journal. The requirements are listed below, and each week, I will add a few questions that might give you some guidance in the response. I do expect evidence from the text to be used, but the response is not a formal essay. Be specific about the topic as you write, but do not worry about connecting all the ideas as you would in an essay.
•The response should be 1-2 pages, double spaced, and formatted according to MLA format (good for practice)
•It should cover a specific element of the work being discussed, not the whole work,
•The response should incorporate specific evidence from the text
•The writing should be at a collegiate level
While it does not need to be an essay, but the more focus you provide, the more helpful it will be for you.
