Taboo is something prohibited, and the restriction could be referred to as the norms and customs of society, places, or things. It is challenging to handle taboo as we could face multiple issues while tackling them.

Talking about emotional abuse and mental health is taboo, especially in Asian countries. Nobody talks about the struggle which one person is facing in their day to day life. Emotional abuse is the same as we are torturing someone physically. However, we have less awareness regarding this issue. As long as it concerned with me, I would take the initiative at some smaller level. Social media plays a significant role , running a social media campaign would be a great way to handle or tackle this issue. At a significant level, we can run a campaign in schools and colleges to aware of them.

Talking about domestic violence is also a taboo, even in today’s modern world. People feel shame to talk about domestic abuse.  Women, but men are also being targeted if not physically. So it is hard for them to openly discuss those issues, as our society could not accept men as a weaker gender.  This situation could be tackled in the same way by running a social media campaign and let men speak about their problems.
