To make an essay on a place you visited you need to have a topic sentence to grab the reader's attention. So for example, you can say "This essay will be about my epic and fun adventure to New York City. Then for your first paragraph tell the reader how you  got to your destination and what you saw along the way. Also in you first paragraph, you can talk about how long it took to get to your destination.
