Do you think smoking should be illegal? Why or why not? at leaste 150 words pls

In the world, around 1.1 billion people over the age of 15 smoke. In my opinion, this number should be severely decreased to 0. There are a variety of reasons why smoking should be illegal. Some of these include: causing colds, coughs, wheezing and asthma. These are pretty mild effects, but what about the more serious effects? Examples of these include multiple organ failure, pneumonia, lung cancer, and emphysema, as well as serious addiction to numerous substances. Why should we allow this habit to destroy people’s’ health and lives? Personally, I think we should eliminate smoking and make it illegal to make this world a safer and better place.
