Imagine that you walk out of a convenience store without buying anything, but the cashier runs
after you and accuses you of stealing a bottle of
water. You have a bottle of water, but it's one you
bought from another store earlier in the day. How do you persuade the cashier that
you haven't done anything wrong?
What are two different ways you could use rhetoric to persuade the
cashier that you didn't steal the water, and which do you think would be most effective? Write a few paragraphs describing what you might do.
