ESSAY: COMPLEX PROCESS Have you ever been excited for a big day? Maybe it is a first date, or a theater production, or a sporting event. You know
how you feel anxious to get to the actual event, and all the preparation steps seem either unnecessary or take much too
long? But those steps are necessary, aren't they? You need to make sure that you look presentable before a first date. You
might even go so far as to practice a couple of lines or conversation starters. You need to make sure that you have all of
your lines fully memorized before a show opens. You need to make sure that you have all of the proper equipment before
playing in a sporting event.
The same is true for writing an essay. While you might not look forward to actually writing it, you probably look forward to
the feeling you will have when it is completed, right? You have already completed all of the preparation steps for the
paper, and now it is show time, so to speak.
In this project, you'll become more familiar with how to write an essay.
