Read the second stanza of "At the Sea-Side” by Robert Louis Stevenson. My holes were empty like a cup. In every hole the sea came up, Till it could come no more. What is the main idea of this stanza? The sea forces the speaker to stop playing in the sand. The sea ruins all of the speaker’s sandcastles. The sea covers the speaker’s belongings with water. The sea is filling up the holes the speaker dug.
