1 When i wake up in the morning society tells me to do my hair

2 they say that i don't care if i dont look perfect

3 so i brush comb and style my flowing locks

4 hopefully one day it will be okay if i do not

5 all the girls at school use gel like its glue to find some since of pride

but i just stare eyes wide

6 i don't understand how you can spend 2 hours trying to pick the perfect headband

7 maybe i'm just dumb or maybe all their heads have gone numb

8 the pulling and brushing ill never end unless i don't want any friends

9 because nobody wants to be friends with the girl with the messy hair

unless you want everyone to stare...

10 but i don't care! i love my hair even if it looks messy because that's what makes me different

11 my mother always said wear your hair with pride

12 so now i wear my hair to my sides so that everyone can sense my pride because i don't care

13 it is only hair
