Like people from many other countries around the world, Syrians speak Arabic. However, the
Arabic language comes in several different forms, or dialects. The form of Arabic used in school,
books and movies is called fusha. It's a simpler version of the formal Arabic used in the Quran,
the Muslim holy book.
