If somebody read battlegrounds of stephen king answer me:
Making Inferences: In describing the events in the text "Battleground," Stephen King doesn't stop to explain everything that is taking place - he assumes that you will be able to infer the action. In the blank provided after each inference answer the question.

1. "He was a human hawk, able to do two things extremely well - kill and survive."

What does John Renshaw do?

2. "It was better up here, he thought, better than in the gutters."

Based on this statement, what can you infer about John Renshaw's early life?

3. "In the bathroom mirror an Indian was staring back at him with glazed eyes, an Indian with thin streamers of red pain.."

Is Renshaw really seeing an Indian? What has happened to him?

4. "...this thud ran through the entire apartment building, vibrating its steel frame like a turning fork. The penthouse door blew off its hinges...A couple walking below looked up in time to see a very large flash, as though a hundred flash guns had gone off at once."

It is difficult to infer what has happened in the excerpt above until a certain line later in the story makes things clear. What is that line?

Read each of the following statements and place a checkmark next to each true statement: test-makers give away answers to questions in other questions. a test-taker should check every 20 answers or so to make sure the questions and answers match. long passages on tests should be read quickly to save time. words like best, least, and worst require the test-taker to make judgments about the correct answer. test-takers should not try to answer the questions in their minds before reading over the answer choices. test-makers use the same letter three or four times in a row to trick test-takers.
