Turn these sentences into more interesting sentences. Add at least 2 adjectives and a prepositional phrase or direct/indirect object. Remember direct objects tell who, what or when about the verb. Prepostitions are anything the squirrel can do to a tree or a frog can do to a log.
Examples: The boy saw a dog under the car. (under the car) is the prepositional phrase
The boy saw Tommy ride his bike. ("Saw" is the verb and "Tommy" is who and "ride the bike" is what. Indirect/direct objects.

Example: The bell rang.
The loud golden bell rang at noon. (adjectives are loud and golden. noon is direct object because that is when. )

1. Karen went to the mall.

2. Carl didn't help his dad.

3. Mom cooks breakfast every morning.

4. I want a new bike for Christmas.

5. Ann has had a new baby girl.
