Tuesdays With Morrie
Compassion is defined as a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who
is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate their
suffering.
Write about a time in your life when you felt compassion for someone... or about
a time when you lacked compassion. Did this event affect you or change you in
any way?

sis. it's been a while since a read that and had that class so i can't answer for u

i don't really know the circumstances. i personally think not due to it not being fair for all parties and how hated i'd become if i thought it was a good thing.

femininity is conveyed through bernice's personality. she doesn't act how the other girls act and everyone thinks she is weird. she learns how to act in a way that was considered femininely appropriate at the time. she becomes so popular but her attempts to be liked end up backfiring when she is pressured into bobbing her hair. the author wrote that bernice cut off her cousin's hair in revenge for tricking her to cut her hair. this was the authors way of trying to change the way feminine is defined and the way women are expected to act.
