How does Harkins feel about the future for
the Choctaw people?
He does not trust the Americans and
refuses to forget the Choctaw land
forever.
He is happy that they can learn to farm so
that no one can take their new land.
He is looking forward to the freedom for
the Choctaws but is concerned it won't
last.
He believes the Americans and Choctaws
may become friends and the Choctaw can
return.
