Read the paragraph and find examples of metaphor, simile, onomatopoeia, personification, oxymoron, and/or alliteration

- “The cell phone alarm on vibrate sounded like a jackhammer”... this is a simile (like and as is used as a simile).

- “The radio’s buzzing sound died down” this is a metaphor it didn’t really die.

-“It was like music to her ears” another simile.

- “ the radios buzzing sound” This is an example of onomatopoeia

- “the storm that had attacked her town” is personification

- “dull roar” - Oxymoron

different strategies reach different people based on their ability to understand the material. (from personal experience) when writing an argumentative essay write explaining the subject as though your audience never heard of it before and it is just being introduced, then explain why other people hate it also, afterward you would explain why that would be wrong. i hope that : )
