Can someone tell me if this is any good. My assignment is to write a suspenseful story but my teacher said she didn’t want us all to write a scary story, she said be creative so I thought of a love story. She gave me the first sentence and this is just a rough draft. Please let me know if it sounds like I’m dragging because I think I am.

I don't feel that the story - so far - is dragging. My only concern is that I don't see any significant elements that would signal a suspenseful story. The only mildly suspenseful part is limited to the first couple of paragraphs.
