It is important to take notes during note taking because some students struggle with retaining information but putting a pencil/pen to a paper can help to retain the information. It is also scientifically proven that writing things down helps to memorize information. Lots of students also can be distracted easily during note taking but by giving something to do it helps to keep focus on the discussion and material being learned. Therefore, by taking notes during note taking you are helping yourself to retain information and achieve academic greatness.
