What role does Candy play in helping George and Lennie try to buy land? Why does Candy want in on the deal

Candy is old, and handicapped-he only has one hand. Candy offers to give his "life savings" of $200 to help George and Lennie buy the land.  

Explanation: Like all of us, Candy had dreams and aspirations. Now he is old, handicapped and his only companion, the dog he raised from a puppy has been shot by Carlson to put the dog out of his misery as he was also old and suffering. The idea of having land, and being a landowner will, in Candy's mind allow him to live out the rest of his life with a certain dignity and a sense of achievement.  

femininity is conveyed through bernice's personality. she doesn't act how the other girls act and everyone thinks she is weird. she learns how to act in a way that was considered femininely appropriate at the time. she becomes so popular but her attempts to be liked end up backfiring when she is pressured into bobbing her hair. the author wrote that bernice cut off her cousin's hair in revenge for tricking her to cut her hair. this was the authors way of trying to change the way feminine is defined and the way women are expected to act.
