What would happen if you combined Steps 1 and 2 so that the user put all the fruits in the same bowl? The bananas would turn brown. The user would not be able to taste all the different fruits in the parfait. The bananas and other fruits would not form separate layers in the tall glass. The bowl would not be big enough to hold both the bananas and the other fruits.
