As a City Official for Suwannee County I would recognize that we live in a rural area and attempt to attract businesses that would fit the skilled labor that Suwannee County already produces. As a lifelong and fifth-generation Suwannee County resident, I believe that our greatest resource is our intelligent, hard-working people. We have one of the best school systems in the state, a successful vocational program and a connection with local colleges that helps us continually turn out highly skilled workers. The majority of my classmates are planning to go into education, healthcare or agriculture. Some of my friends are unbelievably talented welders. In addition to that many of our students, including myself, grow up on farms or family businesses where they learn skills and work ethic that is not taught in school. We need to look to not just bring in any industry but, focus on ones that could use the workforce that we continually produce.
Over the last year I have looked at colleges to attend and continuously get standard mail, email and calls from college recruiters. These recruiters have reviewed my academic and athletic results, identified me as a student that would be a good fit for their school and then recruited me to apply. This made me think that Suwannee County should do the same thing to bring in industry. We should hire full-time recruiters or a recruiting agency that could hire businesses that would benefit the type of skilled workers that we produce, then reach out to those businesses, offer tax incentives and promote what Suwannee County has to offer, primarily the workforce that I mentioned above.
In conclusion, I believe that Suwannee County has so much to offer but we just need to do a better job of communicating this by proactively recruiting the businesses that would be beneficial to the residents of this great community.

1. find at least 9 adjectives from this opening passage used to describe the setting of the story- "to build a fire" setting: day had broken cold and gray, exceedingly cold and gray, when the man turned aside from the main yukon trail and climbed the high earth-bank, where a dim and little-travelled trail led eastward through the fat spruce timberland. it was a steep bank, and he paused for breath at the top, excusing the act to himself by looking at his watch. it was nine o'clock. there was no sun nor hint of sun, through there was not a cloud in the sky. it was a clear day, and yet there seemed an intangible pall over the face of things, subtle gloom that made the day dark, and that was due to the absence of sun. this fact did not worry the man. he was used to the lack of sun. it had been days since he had seen the sun, and he knew that a few more days must pass before that cheerful orb, due south, would just peep above the sky-line and dip immediately from view.
