A clause is a subject and predicate
working together in a sentence.
Clauses are joined by conjunctions. Join
the clauses below by using coordinating
conjunctions (for, and, nor, but, or, yet,
so).
The mall is closed. I need some new
clothes.
My mom went to the store. She did not
get any cereal for me.
I forgot to do my homework. I got a bad
grade in class.
The school is having a dance. Only
eighth graders are invited.
