Tom thought that Tom's day was going well when Tom smelled breakfast cooking as he was waking up. Tom was hungry, so Tom got up, got dressed and went to eat. Tom's mother gave Tom his breakfast. He heard a noise outside and saw that George was outside in his car, waiting for Tom. Tom reached for his jacket.

"I have to go," he said.

"But you haven't eaten," said Tom's mother.

"I'm late!" Tom said. Tom went out the door and went to George's car. His mother watched as the car went away, and then she cleared off the table.

"Happy birthday, Tom," she said.

Tom sprung out of bed, excited for his very special day. He thought to himself as he brushed his teeth "today is going to be the best day ever!" The smell of eggs and bacon wafted through the air and swirled around him, almost calling him to breakfast. Tom sprinted up the dark oak stairs to quickly get dressed. He through on a bright red shirt and dark blue jeans. Running back downstairs, Tom sat at the breakfast table to find a nice plate of bacon and eggs. As he was just about to indulge in his morning breakfast he heard a noise from outside. Seeing his friend George outside Tom jumped from the table. Putting on his dark green jacket Tom yelled to his mom "I have to go!" His mom yelled back from the next room over "But you have not eaten!" As Tom turnsd to the door he said "I am late." Walking towards George's car his mother watched him. As Tom got into the car his mother cleared the table. Finally saying "Happy Birthday Tom."
