Which evidence below would be considered statistical evidence that supports the idea that listening to books on tape can be educational? Ms. Smith, my third grade teacher said, “It is difficult to determine whether or not listening to books on tape has been good or bad for Americans.” Studies show that some books on tape are directed toward teaching children how to read by emphasizing words and helping them learn. Some books on tape provide listeners with a chance to experience adventure or mystery stories. Eighty-five percent of Newbury Award-winning children’s books are available as audio books on tape in school libraries all across the country and are used to supplement students’ language learning.
