Which sentence is out of order in the above passage?

I was weeding a garden bed to prepare it for planting vegetable seeds. These pests eat the leaves and can cause extensive damage to plants. When I looked at the pile of soil that I had turned over, I found two shiny dark-red objects that were motionless. They were oval-shaped and were about the width of a quarter. Upon closer investigation, I discovered two wing-like shapes folded against the body of this mysterious creature. When I came inside the house, I conducted some research and found that the little things were soon to become red-backed cutworms. Eventually, as the worms matured, they would evolve into moths.
