In one of the paragraphs, he talks about how a father begins to stammer at his speech when he has to explain to his little daughter why she can't go to an amusement park whose advertisement she came across. It becomes difficult for a father to explain how the park is only for white children and does not allow colored people to pass. He further writes that this segregation and racism creates an inferiority in little girls and how for the rest of their lives, they will live with a personality that does not define them or their capabilities.
