The women of the village where Nene and Nnaemeka lived after their marriage were not satisfied with their marriage. At times when they used to meet Nene at village meetings, they used to treat her in a very different way. Nene felt isolated and nucleated in the meetings. They made Nene feel that she didn’t belong to the group and was different from them. But later, with love and good nature of Nene she was able to change the mindset of the women. Slowly they started to recognize her and visited her house. The news about Nene and Nnaemeka spread around that they were the best couple in the whole village
