100i will mark high define the term conflict as it relates to literature and explain its importance in narrative writing. briefly describe the different types of national and external conflict. then explain how author introduces develops and resolves the major conflict in the narrative day of the butterfly.

Conflict in literature means that any problem the protagonist has to overcome in order to solve a situation and accomplish their mission.

The conflict is relevant for any literature because it gives meaning to the whole text, like there has to be a problem to be solved. There are 2 types of conflict, internal and external conflict.  

Internal conflict are the problems that happen inside the protagonist's mind, a struggle between two feelings fighting each other up to the point where the protagonist submits to one or none of the feelings and reaches a conclusion.

External conflicts involve every problem that can be caused by an external source, this being, another person, the nature, a machine, etc.
