When the woman in “mirror” sees her reflection, she

becomes agitated and upset
realizes that she must forget the past
is reminded of her grandmother
decides to polish the mirror

In the story,  it's written that she has drowned a young girl. But it's not an actual winning, rather than it convey that the woman usually see a young girl in the reflection but as she got older, she couldn't see the beautiful reflection anymore.
