Can someone we are writing a creative writing story with dialog and i have no clue how to finish.

one fall afternoon at staten island railway ten- year- old mark, sammy, and benny curiously stared out beyond the water, where a light meets the water. mark went up to the ticket booth to talk to his mother running it.
“ where is that light coming from, why does it shine? ” asked mark wide-eyed with wonder.
“ it is nothing, don’t worry about it, know run along i have to work,” replied his mother suspiciously. mark angerly walked away telling his friend her response
“why does nobody answer my question, it is like nobody wants us to know,” retorted mark. remembering that last week he had got the same response from his father and uncle. they pondered the problem will walking silently back to their clubhouse. “it is like all the adults in town are hiding one big secret,” said sammy
“well i have a plan to find the answer we are looking for, we can take my dad’s handcar and put a sail on it. if we leave at dawn we will be back right before the first train is scheduled to pass if we are fast enough,” said benny.
“ what are we going to find, what if it is something bad,” replayed sammy nervously.
“ we will find something, i don’t want to keep wondering, i want to find an answer,” said mark. if there was an answer he’d find it. they made a plan that would be carried out the following morning and then they went their separate ways.
“in 10 hours i’ll finally figure out the answer and won’t have to wonder any longer,” thought mark.
bright and early the next morning the group meets at the docks, ready for the adventure in store for them.
“ok, who is ready to finally find out what the light that meets the water means,” said benny
“ i sure know i am,” replied mark. and then they were off on their quest and their questions would finally be answered. halfway there suddenly the wind changed directions and was pushing the handcar backward.
“what do we do now? ” asked sammy anxiously.
“the only thing we can do is get out in push, we need to be off the track in 30 minutes when the first train is scheduled to pass,” said mark. quickly the three boys jumped out and started pushing. they could not be on the tracks when there was a scheduled train. after about 20 minutes they could see land in the distance, they were so close.
“did you guys feel that? ” asked benny, “ i think that was the train.”
“what do we do? ” asked sammy worriedly.
“we have to leave the handcar it’s too heavy, replied mark, “ we need to run, now.”
“ i can’t leave my dad’s handcar, he doesn’t know i have it, he will kill me if anything happens to it,” said benny.
“it’s either us or the handcar, we can’t possibly get in the water, it is freezing, we have to run,” said mark.
“come on benny we have to, we can buy him a new one, we have to go know,” said sammy. seeing the train in the distance the boys took off in a dead sprint. they could hear the train making its warning call, they ran as fast as they could making it seconds to spare.
“that was close,” exclaimed benny, “i hope this is worth it”
