Complete a 500 word extended response on how the poet portrayed their unique impression of australia's landscape.
the morning stars faded slowly,
the dotted cross draped low to the sea.
the glistening blackness of the soft australian night faded,
and the rainbow sky awakening that declared the wonderful day,
however, in the dying darkness,
still, in the forest dim the pearly dew of the morning clung to each branch,
till the sun came up from the ends ocean,
and spread warmth along the wondrous lands.
but time has passed, and things have changed,
which resulted in everything living, in fear
the once “sunrise” has turned into a sunburn,
the vast infinite blue skies no longer clear,
but rather an imitation of a foggy window,
that never clears, nor smells decent,
stars were bright whence they came,
now dimmed, wrapped, pollution's haze overtook.
protect what has been freely given
our waters, our skies, our wildlife, our trees.
for once they're gone, they’re gone
so consider yourself warned of that disastrous day.
