Step 1- write a sentence that includes the name of the fable you read and the modern medium (name of the tv show, movie, or book you choose). be sure to capitalize the titles. step 2- write a sentence that states the theme they both share. step 3- write a sentence (or two) of what happens in the fable that leads to the theme. try to make three connections between the fable and the modern story. who were the protagonists in each story? how were they similar or different? what were the conflicts in both stories? how were they similar or different? what was the resolution in both stories? how were they similar or different? step 4- write a sentence or two that explains events in the modern medium which lead to the same theme. step 5- write a sentence that explains how the modern medium makes the story more modern than the fable. what makes a the story modern? is it the medium, characters, conflict, setting, etc.?
