Not having the sentence here, I can only help you to find the answer.  The setting is used to help create the mood.  The mood is the feeling gets from the passage.  For example, when an author wants to create a mood of sadness, they could write about a death in the family or the loss of a friendship.  If they author wanted to create a frightening mood based solely on the setting, they could describe a run-down, dilapidated house that looked as though it was right out of a horror movie.  So which sentence shows that the setting (place, time, etc.) creates a certain feeling?
