How to write in a "conversational tone" for an essay about native american culture?

i am so lost i have no idea how to do this. the instructions say to make it similar to the tone of a travel guide, but aren't those in a formal writing tone as well? and i don't see how i can write about a culture from one of the stories in the unit (i chose a native american story) and make it in a conversational tone. haha?

Explanation:

The Iroquois Indians are Native American people that lived in the Northeastern U.S. The area is also referred to as the Eastern Woodlands region and contains New York and the close-by areas. The Iroquois first called themselves Kanonsionni, meaning people of the Longhouse (the name of the houses they live in), but today they go by the name Haudenosaunee. Originally five tribes made up this broader group, but in 1722 a sixth tribe joined the Iroquois nation, and they also became known as the Six Nations.

Iroquois Living:

The Iroquois were hunters, gatherers, farmers, and fishermen but the main staples of their diet came from farming. They harvested the three sisters, which are corn, beans, and squash. They also harvested tobacco for smoking. Their crops were grown in a very specific way and were taken care of, and harvested by the women of the tribe. Out of six annual ceremonies, four of them were about the corn crops that they harvested.

They would move to a new place close to water every 10-30 years when the soil lost its nutrients and water, and the animal and fish population declined.

The women of the tribe also gathered wild berries and roots, greens, barks, sunflower, nuts, and herbs for both cooking and medicine. In early spring, they hit the sap from Maple trees and turned it into maple syrup.

Iroquois culture:

Some popular crafts among the Iroquois tribe include bead jewelry, porcupine quillwork, clay pipes, and crafting wampum (money) out of beads both for trade and art. Men and women would sometimes have symbolic tattoos.

As musical instruments, rattles were made out of deer feet and fur, but the most important instruments are the drums and the flute.

Native Americans have a wide variety of different cultures, according to their tribes, but I chose the Iroquois because I thought they were unique in their own way, just like every other group.

the teacher i would like to have must be a kind, caring and understandable teacher. she should be interactive with us and always plan fun activities to in our studies. she should be a teacher who would correct our mistakes when we do something wrong and guide us if we are weak. she should always be strict if we do something bad but must be praising us when we do something good. she she not take any as her favorite in her class but take everyone as her favorite.
