my name's i have an idea for an action-adventure movie titled, “hatchet.”
it's a gripping story about a 13-year-old boy named brian robeson, a son of divorced parents. as he rides in a cramped bush plane from new york to northern canada to visit his father, the pilot suffers a major heart attack and dies. brian attempts to land the plane but crashes into a lake in the forest. after struggling to surface and passing out, he soon learns that he must survive on his own with only his hatchet, which was a gift from his mother before his plane had left.
all throughout the summer, brian learns many ways of survival. he figures out how to make a fire and eats and cooks many different foods (such as berries, birds, fish, fruit, rabbits, and turtle eggs). he comes across many different threats of nature, such as a bear, moose, mosquitos, a porcupine, skunk, tornado, and wolves. he develops crucial survival skills, becoming a strong woodsman. he crafts tools and weapons to accompany him in his hunting. he puts together a shelter from the underside of a rock overhang. all throughout this time, brian struggles with heartbreaking memories of his home and what he calls "the secret". "the secret" is revealed to be when brian's mother had kissed another man, prior to the divorce.
when an unexpected tornado hits his area, it destroys most of brian's camp, tools, and food. it also brings the tail of the plane he crashed in toward to shore of the lake. broken yet determined to move forward, brian then goes to look for a possible survival pack on the plane. after many stressful attempts to get to the plane, he finally reaches his goal. after dropping his hatchet into the lake and then retrieving it, brain cuts into the plane and finds a survival pack. its contents include extra food, an emergency transmitter, and a rifle. once back on shore, he attempts to activate the transmitter. he unknowingly succeeds and, thinking it's broken, tosses it aside. however his distress call is soon heard by a passing plane, and he is shortly rescued. he spends the remainder of his summer with his father, but decides not to talk about "the secret".

Time is not always change. time can also mean continuity, and it can mean keeping acknowledged truths in mind despite differences in circumstances.there is no better example of this in things fall apart than the retellings of the proverb about the bird named eneke, the language in both retellings is almost identical despite the length of time that has passed between their repetitions. in comparing the usages of the same proverb, achebe allows his readers to note the similarities and differences between the situations, and he them understand how this story can be applied to their own lives.
