i don't get the appeal of bottled water. can somebody explain it to me? the first thing i want explained is why i should pay $5-10 a gallon for a bottle of something i can get out of my kitchen faucet for 1 cent a gallon. and before you come at me with your "verifiable facts," let me say that i don't know how much tap water costs, and i don't care. i do, however, know how much it doesn't cost. tap water doesn't cost $5-10 a gallon. if it did, i'd be paying $4,500 a month just to take showers. so, even if my estimated price of tap water is off by 5 or 10 cents, bottled water is still way more expensive.
"but," you say, "what about the taste? bottled water tastes so much better than tap water." to that i say, "no, in the majority of cases, it doesn't." unless a person is living in an area that has a bad water system, or is living in a house with plumbing problems that affect the taste of the water, tap water tastes the same as, if not better than, bottled water.
i can say that without hesitation because i did a survey in which i drank the tap water in three million american homes. only one of those glasses of water tasted bad, and that was because the house was next to a lake, and a fish came out of the faucet and landed in my glass. okay, you got me, i never did the survey. i never drank a glass of water with a fish in it. still the point remains that somewhere in your bottled-water-loving heart you know it is true: tap water tastes the same as bottled water.

Will mark as brainliest excerpt from the christmas carol: use this information to deepen your understanding of the character. oh! but he was a tight-fisted hand at the grindstone, scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner! hard and sharp as flint, from which no steel had ever struck out generous fire; secret, and self-contained, and solitary as an oyster. the cold within him froze his old features, nipped his pointed nose, shriveled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue; and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice. a frosty rime was on his head, and on his eyebrows, and his wiry chin. he carried his own low temperature always about with him; he iced his office in the dog-days; and didn’t thaw it one degree at christmas. race: use this organizational method to guide your writing- r – restate the prompt a – answer the prompt/questions c – cite evidence e – explain the evidence write your response here:
