(1)in 1814, a military victory was won—not with soldiers or guns, but with animals! (2)the battle took place in chile when a chilean leader named o'higgins was fighting to win his country's independence from spain. (3)the chilean patriots were surrounded by a larger, well-armed spanish army. (4)wounded and seemingly without any options, o'higgins came up with an idea. (5)he ordered his soldiers to gather together as many cows, mules, sheep, and dogs as possible. (6)then, using gunshots to frighten the herd, o'higgins got the animals to stampede toward the spanish camp. (7)in a short time, the spanish forces were being attacked by a frightened crowd of charging beasts. (8)while the spanish were busy trying to protect themselves from the animals, o'higgins and his men escaped into nearby mountains. (9)three years later, o'higgins and an army of four thousand men returned from the mountains and defeated the spanish once and for all.

two paragraphs to compare and contrast the narrator's schools would be this, the one school with the veil is the one school were the students were forced to wear the veils, and they did not know why they had to wear the veils. the girl student writing the story was not like the other students, she didn't care. in the second school there was a lot of hostile activities going on throughout the school. most of the students were upset and this, including the author, but she was trying to look and the good side of things.  

overall, both schools had something that the students or most of the students did not like or appreciate. what you can learn from these stories is that life will never be exactly how you may want it to be. complaining about your lifestyle will only make matters worse or at least feel worse in the long run. that's happens to be the information you can interpret from these two stories.

samuel gompers was an extremely important person in the american labor movement, being him an employee all his life he devoted himself to fight for the rights of his pairs, he believed they all had the right to have better thing and that they all were working for them but the factory workers were greedy, ambitions and socialist people for him who he didn't have a good concept of.

he gave so many speeches and led so many strikes and protest to fight for equality which he considered employers didn't want to accept, so he had an absolutely negative opinion of them.
