slavery in the 1800s was a thing. Yes there were blacks who would kill owners to live but that was the desire of freedom WHICH all humans must have. It was a thing in which even governments allowed it.

Women rights in the 1800 was very low. Women couldnt go to school and learn. They couldnt get jobs. Only women with husband were considered adults. Women were considered sins and they were only meant to live to give birth. Women had to stay at home and take care of children and never leave the house and must obey thier husbands.

Crossing the Atlantic (to be honest i havent learned about that) but based on movies it was really hard and most of the times the ship would sink.

Shipbuilding were made of wood. Not steel like modern. It would be easy to rot and sink. The only advantage was it was light so it moved quicker but in a heavy storm it would have a chance that it could break.
