Use your knowledge of the structure of narrative poetry to explain why it might be easier to read than a sonnet or other poetry form. let's check out dakota's post: i enjoyed reading the villanelle "do not go gentle into that good night," but the form did not make it easier to comprehend. it did make it easier to read. i knew where the refrain would be and how many lines were in a stanza. i could anticipate the rhyme. on the other hand, "lochinvar" was easier for me to comprehend because it tells a story. i know that there will be some conflict or problem and that the main character will spend time trying to solve it. create one post that answers the following prompt. narrative poems tell a story and use many of the same elements that stories use. how might this knowledge make a narrative poem easier to comprehend? what do you think is a useful strategy to understand a narrative poem?
