You know I care about you, otherwise I would not take the time and make the effort to convince you to change. You are a good, intelligent young woman with a bubbly personality and a brilliant mind. The world can be yours if you change some simple behaviors. I know you think you don't want the world - you are always saying you wish to lead a simple life, carefree, without worries about the future. You are always reminding me of how young you are, claiming that discipline will naturally come as you grow older. But I must say, from my own experience, that it isn't true.

Discipline is something you build over time. You cannot expect to suddenly grow mature, wise, focused, and disciplined. It takes effort and experience to achieve those predicates. And what you are failing to see is that the future is nothing but a result of the present. Let's take a simple situation as an example. You've eaten 2 and a half hours ago, and you know you are going to be hungry again soon. You have the ingredients you need to make yourself a meal, but you choose to do something else. Finally, you do feel hungry, but there is nothing ready to be eaten. You will have to cook while already hungry - probably in a hurry, because your stomach is desperate for the food that is still cooking. If you had just cooked it half an hour ago, calmly, you would be eating right now, satisfying your stomach without suffering.

A simple decision can change a simple future. A lot of simple decisions can change a complex future. If you spend less money on unnecessary sneakers today, you will have some extra to buy that cell phone tomorrow - or to help you in an emergency, in case one ever happens. If you study a little more today instead of spending hours watching videos online, your tests will seem easier. Little by little, with small decisions, you can achieve discipline. Little by little, discipline will make your life easier. I hope you can see that. I hope you can see I'm telling you this from a place of love and experience.
