Read the excerpt from chapter 6 of animal farm. to see him toiling up the slope inch by inch, his breath coming fast, the tips of his hoofs clawing at the ground, and his great sides matted with sweat, filled everyone with admiration. clover warned him sometimes to be careful not to overstrain himself, but boxer would never listen to her. what inference can be made about clover’s motivation to tell boxer to stop working so hard? clover may have experienced a bad fall in the past, which causes her to fear the slope. clover wants to see more animals on the farm doing their equal share of the work. clover has always been jealous of boxer and wants him to work less so he will get in trouble. clover thinks that if boxer continues working so hard he will wear himself out and be harmed.
