How do i : rewrite the passages below, removing the use of first person. also, consider combining sentences to improve the overall flow of the writing as well as reduce wordiness and remove first person. the simplicity of this image is its strength. its design is not overloaded with color or text. there is only one product in the photo- cigarettes. cigarettes by themselves can generate emotions in the observer. most people either despise cigarettes or tolerate them for one reason or another. therefore, you can argue that this photo holds truth for those against smoking because they believe it is harmful and will result death. or it can be argued by those that tolerate smoking that it is not as dramatic as the image implies and that it is nothing like dying from a bullet wound. no matter your opinion on smoking, i think the simplicity of this image plays into the ethos of the person viewing the photo. the viewer of this image is people. average, everyday people who have feelings and can make the connection between bullets and smoking. i do not believe it was intended for children or animals to view. also, even if the text in this image were removed the message would still be there and an opinion can be made. that is another reason that his image is effective by being simple.
