Can someone me with this question? what caused chaucer to poke fun at the church in "the canterbury tales"? a) chaucer was not a religious person. b) chaucer believed the church's message was naive. c) chaucer thought that important clergymen were often corrupt and hypocritical. i think the answer is c but i'm not sure.
