Am i punctuating correctly? can you fix it if so?

When putting quotes text into sentences, use ellipses on both sides. "...running heavily through the trees, ignoring the sharp thorns and briars that takes his back..." Also if you are writing an essay to not use passive voice so make sure the subject does the action (active voice)... Her wild mind leads to a conclusion. That is nice but I have been told by English teachers to avoid any sort of passive for class purposes so try... She has a wild sort of mind that led her to figure out a conclusion. Other than that, remember to not use contractions in your writing, check for run on sentences, look up proper usage for colons and dasjhes :D You're doing a great job!!! Keep up the good work
