How did brown v. board of education affect american literature?

The case "Brown vs. Board of Education" declared segregation unconstitutional. So we can assume that american literature was more open to African-Americans, since they were able to get their equal education. Therefore, more African-Americans were able to learn more about literature and other school subjects. ( I believe. )
